About Me

I am a mother of three boys (three boys, being punished for my sins!) and have been a fan of photography for years. I started shooting weddings seriously about five years ago. With the arrival of my twins, I decided to reduce my working hours in order to spend more time at home with my boys. Using photography to make up for the loss of income was a natural progression.

This is where you will be able to catch regular excerpts of what I am up to...

Angie and Sergio have planned an early winter wedding, but, first, here’s their engagement session:

I had intended to share this shoot with you last week, but, unfortunately, there just weren’t enough hours in the day (or perhaps enough caffeine).

Anyway, allow me to introduce the soon-to-be-married Angie and Sergio - can’t wait to shoot your wedding in May!

Angie had selected a local park for their e-session, but people and buildings in backgrounds usually create messy photographs.

So a big shout out to Champetre Day Spa who were extemely accommodating, at the nineth hour, and allowed us to shoot at their gorgeous venue.

Carlien and Marcell.  Where do I begin?

When we arrived at Mangwa Valley Lodge, one of the first things Marcelle said to us was: "Ladies. Just do your stuff".  And that is exactly what we did ;-).  So laid back were the bride and groom that they put their complete trust in us.

The ceremony was one of the most entertaining I have ever experienced, in that the priest included references to Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and how can we forget little Tinkerbelle, as well as many other elements, which made it all the more so incredibly special.

I really enjoyed our game drive portrait session, which involved some bundu bashing, looking out for game, on top of the odd stopping-off every now and then to shoot some romantic shots.

The reception also turned out to be just as much fun, where the dance floor was invaded by all the short guests (aka children) attending the wedding.

Marcell and Carlien, I can't thank you enough for allowing us to share your beautiful day with you! Thank You.

Andrea you forgot about the ant ;-) Thanks Carlien and Marcell you made us feel at home and completely relaxed, it was a great day indeed!

Andrea Carlyle:

Oh indeed the serial killer ant!
How could I forget about that phsycotic ant with a mission to destroy you!

You will see I also conveniently, did not mention the two city Dorks ;-) driving around the lodge, and getting lost! When all the rooms where indeed walking distance.

March 17, 2011 // Children / Personal

It has been a week of green crafts, making leprechaun traps and green baking with the kids. The "Little cons" (leprechaun's - as Liam calls them), are coming to visit us on Friday night.

In our house, the leprechauns wreak a little havoc by turning our milk and toilet water green,  and turning things a little upside down. Oh, the excitement levels for the chaos!

Happy St Patricks Day!

So, that was February.  Woosh ... and it's gone.

I am posting an image of another seemingly small moment that can't be captured in words. Simple letters have nothing on these little, but important, moments in time.
