Here I sit, once again, staring at the blank, white void of my PC screen, not knowing where to start in describing Saturday with Michelle and Rinus.... and, after the sixth attempt, I have only two images that remain vivid: belly laughs and bonsai trees. That is it!
A truely memorable day. Amazing venue, good food, good wine, good company, bonsai trees and belly laughs.. Oh, did I mention we had to take pictures every now and then?
Rinus, I know you said you hated the camera, but, you looked like a serious rockstar and Michelle that dress was just made for you. You looked absolutely beautiful.
Thank you both.
You treated us like family and we had such an absolute blast that not even a flat tyre on the way home could dampen our high from the days events.
And finally the images...

Another indecisive moment of mine. I REALLY could not decide which wedding dress picture I preferred, so posted both. If you are brave enough to post a comment please let me know which one you prefer - I'd love to know - no technical experience needed ;-)

I wanted to post more images as I know of some crackers taken by Ursula, but had a bit of an IT glitch, so you may see a part two to this post.

Re the dress shot - I can see why you struggled! I was about to go with the first one (I love the mirrors), but then I realised how beautifully the metal curly thingy frames the dress at the top in the second one. Yes, 'metal curly thingy' is the actual name for those things, in case you were wondering. Anyway I have to plead indecisiveness too.
And I'm up for a Part 2! Where was this venue? I haven't heard of it.
(06.18.09 @ 07:35 PM)What an incredibly beautiful dress! I like the first one more. As for the rest of the photos, my absolute favourite is the second last one! Wow!
(06.18.09 @ 11:13 PM)The venue is Memoire, in Muldersdrift. It is a relatively new venue but absolutely stunning filled with little details (and metal curly things)
(06.19.09 @ 06:21 AM)I'd have to go with the first one. While the wrought iron ornament is gorgeous, the photo with the mirror just feels like it has more to discover, if you know what I mean. You see the gorgeous dress and then you see the other angle in the mirrors and it just adds a dimension for me, but they're both gorgeous, all your work is.
(06.19.09 @ 08:47 AM)I still remember why I fell in love with your style of photography, mmmmmm Breath Taking!!!!
(06.19.09 @ 09:39 AM)I am just waiting for you to start getting those big awards that will separate the boys and the GALS.
I love your work and you read a wedding like no other.
Oh yes did i mention great shots, love the landscape and your "Thingy Shots"
I like the mirror dress.
(06.19.09 @ 12:32 PM)Favourites are the sky in the second last one and the shadows in the 5th one

(06.19.09 @ 12:40 PM)Haha, thanks, Andrea!
(06.19.09 @ 02:32 PM)I love the first one with the mirrors, it's stunning. All your pictures are amazing.
