It's going to be a landmark year for South Africa - my wish for you is that it is a wonderful 2010,  filled with love, life and lots of laughter!

I bought these snowflake decorations today, for next year. On seeing them the kids insisted we sprayed our windows with the leftover snow and hang these up. I do realise Christmas is over but not to the short people, to them it seems Christmas is forever.

I am a little behind in posting this wedding, but, having said that, I am ending 2009 with yet another beautiful couple: Geneiveve & Russell!

The weather started out ominously bad, so bad, in fact, I was made aware of a room that is available at the venue "in case it rains". One look at the painted, fake backdrop (with sunshine) made me determined to find alternative "in case it rains" locations.

We'll, with a stroke of good fortune, it did not rain after all - I was told by Gen they are both very lucky people - very lucky indeed! Another gorgeous day unfolded, along with a dazzling real-life clouds and sun-drenched background. :-)

Gen & Russell were so natural and gorgeous, I would've been hard-pressed not to get great shots.

 
Later at the reception I was asked by a guest as to why I took Genevieve & Russell outside the venue, when, needless to say, Makiti has such a haven of lovely gardens. I smiled. . . and now I hope these images do justice to my approach.

Gen's new surname will be Fish, so many of the décor aspects revolved around the theme of. . . well, fishes - very cute!

Sidenote: Makiti is a stunningly beautiful venue, with good food and really beautiful gardens that give you that country feel, I just seem to be drawn by the lure of dramatic clouds and skies.

Sheeeshhhhhhhh! Where has the time gone, a whole year already done and dusted! And oh what fun we've had, at oh so many, many fantastic weddings with you lot!!
