About Me

I am a mother of three boys (three boys, being punished for my sins!) and have been a fan of photography for years. I started shooting weddings seriously about five years ago. With the arrival of my twins, I decided to reduce my working hours in order to spend more time at home with my boys. Using photography to make up for the loss of income was a natural progression.

This is where you will be able to catch regular excerpts of what I am up to...

I now know why i am so busy i hardly get time to visit your blog, it is depressing for me in a way.
You are the person that i look up to and the words" One day when i am big" come to mind.
I love the way you see this world of ours. Keep up the stunning work and congrads on all the magazines you are making it into. One of these days we will see you in O magazine. LOL

We are very lucky where we stay, although the greedy developers have, unfortunately, discovered out little paradise!

Ever since Ashley received her bike, with training wheels, Oliver has been nagging that he too wanted a "big boy's" bicycle.

This weekend Dadda made Oliver's day with a shiny new red bicycle. The joy and excitement of his first bike!

I wish I could hire someone with PR skills like Amori. She has managed to get her wedding (and my pictures!) into another bridal magazine, I need some wine to celebrate!

There is also an online version that seems like a pretty useful guide for brides.

Just last night I was talking to a girl in my photo class who is in charge of events at St Johns. I said I wish I'd known about one being able to have weddings there because I keep seeing picturess and it looks gorgeous. She said, "oh. did you see Andrea's pics in Konfetti?" So you're famous indeed! :-)

(03.25.09 @ 08:53 AM)
Andrea Carlyle:

I have been suffering from the most excruiciating headaches over the last four days, and this morning  was just delibatating.

I made an apointment with a local GP this afternoon.

How one's life can change in a matter of seconds. The words MRI scan, Neurosurgeon and brain haemoraging were mentioned. My mind was racing and on my way to the MRI scan it rained. I parked a fair way away from the hospital  and I had to walk quite a distance in the rain.

I always have an umbrella in my boot (for any rained out weddings) but decided that I would relish each and every raindrop. Arms out,  head up,  I walked at a slow pace just be glad that I could indeed appreciate the rain.

It works out I have a severe and acute inflamation in my sinuses, but I find the false alarm a god-send, as the important things in life are most definately the small things.

We often take life too seriously, that we forget to enjoy it, so here is to enjoying every joyful minute of it!

Glad that I have learnt a lesson.

I had planned to post a picture that I took a while back of Oliver playing and "relishing" the rain, but I can not find it so this will have to do.
