About Me

I am a mother of three boys (three boys, being punished for my sins!) and have been a fan of photography for years. I started shooting weddings seriously about five years ago. With the arrival of my twins, I decided to reduce my working hours in order to spend more time at home with my boys. Using photography to make up for the loss of income was a natural progression.

This is where you will be able to catch regular excerpts of what I am up to...

Whilst the blog seems awfully quite, things have been pretty turbulent back here, with a whole bunch of IT things going wrong. Just a short note to update you, all seems to be back to normal, and hopefully with a little added elbow grease normal blogging will resume.

It seems like my blog has been hacked :-(.

I am not sure if I will be able to link this to a new blog, or if I will be able to post here again, but just so that you know, if this blog post is outdated; I am around, just pop me an email and I will send you my packages, and new blog details:

For every bride-to-be, their wedding ceremony is the result of months of internet scouring, creative planning and organising, to name but a few.   And, as a wedding photographer, I have the good fortune to see how it all beautifully and almost seamlessly unfolds on the big day.  I also get to witness all sorts of unguarded and spontaneous moments that weren't in the plan, but will always form part of any wedding folklore.
For Dina and Leo, I'm more than certain that in the years to come, Dina will always chuckle when sharing her side of the story - especially that instant, as she was dressing (just minutes before walking down the aisle), her zipper decided to slip off the rails of her gorgeous dress.   Not that it had any impact on the day, because Dina remained incredibly composed as her mother and the bridesmaids came to the rescue by sewing the gown so impeccably, that there was absolutely no evidence of the wardrobe mishap and not a soul even noticed.
Dina and Leo will also remember that uninvited guest - the rainstorm - an ill-timed and disruptive part of the plot.  Then again, the summer downpour certainly added an element of drama and, with all things considered, provided us with some yummy light that we would've missed had it not been for the cloudburst.
In short, it was a wonderful, madcap, touching and fun-filled day.  Thank you both for everything.

As the Carlyle residence prepares for the festive season, things are gradually beginning to wind down (well just a tad slower) and I'm so happy to finally grab some hard-earned time to blog on the topic of Natalie's and Stephen's enchanting wedding.

This was indeed a second-to-none ceremony for me, as it occupied my first encounter with a pair of sparkling Jimmy Choo's ,-), but besides those matchless heels, there was of course so very much more.

Natalie is the most organised, self-proclaimed list-maker I've ever come across.  Certainly not in a negative sense, but in a hilarious, schedule-writing, detail-focused sort of way and I reckon that because of this, she was able to co-ordinate a gorgeous wedding in South Africa from the UK, without a hiccup on the big day.

Incandsescent with beauty, the day was full of unbridled emotional moments, adorable people and vibrant colours, so allow me to load up a few images to truly do justice to the flawless occasion.
