Santa Bloke, as the kids call him, is almost here. My intention for the next couple of days is to remain grounded, far away from all the shopping malls and the chaos of Christmas. Just to savour and enjoy this time of the year.
I am posting these ...well, just because I reakon you haven't seen enough pictures of the midgets ;-).

We were at a birthday party last week Saturday, or was it Sunday? I can't actually remember. And it doesn't really matter.
The point of the post is we bumped into Zoë and Eva, who are both now one-year-olds - already!
I managed to get these in just before they left the party and it reminded me of the times we would often bring the boys to the park and rock them to sleep in the same sort of tyre swing and then, when asleep, carry them home to tuck into bed.

What I find magical about "being small" is the make-believe imaginary world the little people inhabit.
To simply watch my boys transform themselves into whatever creature, or character, they want to be is enchanting made tangible.
Pictured below are the boys pretending to be dinosaurs, devouring leaves and growling ferociously - as, of course, all dinosaurs do. . .

Having the same party theme for both boys would have been too easy, wouldn't it?
Jake wanted a dinosaur party and Liam, no surprises, wanted a car (and train) party.
Half dino, half automobile - the little monsters had a ball.

If someone could please show me where the pause button is, as life is whizzing by a little too fast for my liking. Jake and Liam turned three today.
Happy Birthday Boys!

Enjoy your Christmas! Love the happiness in these photos :)
