I love capturing every-day moments. Like my boys doing every-day things; going to the park, drawing pictures, collecting pine cones for the fire, playing in the back garden. The real bits. Unedited.

Our simple, every-day life.

In the future, I'm sure I will treasure these pictures, no matter how dirty or mismatched their choice of clothing may be. Pictures to remind me how time is flying by and how quickly these simple, but precious moments will pass.

Side Note:  It's been a busy week, and I just haven't found a spare moment to blog. Our household midgets have, one by one, been tagged with a gastro bug, which appears to be doing the rounds. For us, it has meant nursing midgets, interrupted evenings and washing bed linen at the most oddest of hours. For Marcelle and Steyn this has meant a delayed post.

As the mornings become more nippy, I know winter's advancing into our corner of the world.

Even though the African winters are not that cold, I am not fond of wintry weather, in whatever shape or form.

Those few aspects of winter I do take pleasure in, however, are enjoying a glass of red wine, watching the glowing flames in our fireplace, slurping down a hot chunky broth (I love homemade soup) and the incredible shades of light this season brings.

On another note we have had no power in our area for two whole days, so I am a little behind with emails, I will get there I promise.

It was brought to my attention, Thank you Ursula, that on the previous post for some strange reason comments were not possible. The IT glitch has now been sorted. So as Liam would say "Sharing is caring" ;-)

One good thing out of the system overhaul, is that I found this picture in a folder, lurking where it shouln't be. Taken of Jake a year ago.

Finding a folder of forgotten photographs, is like discovering a present that you have not yet opened.
