This summer, when appropriate, we have filled up the inflatable pool outside with warm water, bubble bath and created an outside bath. This week has been more rain, rain and rain, so no outside bath. Friday we saw the sun, and the outside bath.

There's nothing better than waterplay on a hot day! Yesterday was perfect for that, but our pool was absolutely freezing!
(02.07.09 @ 06:41 AM)WOW!! I have just sat during a quiet moment going through your archive, it would be magnificent if one could relive their wedding day to have you be their photographer (did I just say that out loud?), all I can say is absolutely stunning!!
(02.11.09 @ 02:11 PM)Those of you in Johannesburg will know this week was just rain, rain and more rain.
Yesterday afternoon, there was a bit of a respite, when sunshine appeared in between the grey clouds.
We then decided to venture down to the flooded river and feed the ducks.
This is what happened to our fully clothed duck-feeding outing...

Jake trying to catch me to make me dirty with, what I thought at the time were, just dirty hands. . . . nothing in comparison to the later images!!

Liam (on the right) was surprisingly the 'cleanest' of them all.

These are so beautiful! You have an amazing talent. I'm going to spread the word!
(02.06.09 @ 01:38 PM)These pictures are amazing! They brought me right back to my own childhood in Namibia, where, after the (not very frequent) rain we did exactly the same!! Fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
(03.02.09 @ 11:42 AM)Ever since I announced that both DH and I quietly refer to Liam as The Terminator and Jake as the gay sensitive one, I have received a bit of flack from friends and family, on the lines of: "AAAwe shame, how can you say that Jake is gay." Whereas, on Liam, not a word. . . .
I am, therefore, reciting this story as another example supporting our view:
Jake has another little habit, which has turned out to be a little game. He plucks a flower from the garden, then runs up to me, tilts his head to the side and then flutters them eyelids. To which I always respond with an exaggerated "Aaaah thank you", take the flower and give him a great big hug - I have to encourage this behaviour, as Jake is the only male one in the family who gives me flowers on a regular basis.
Liam, incidentally, was standing nearby and, upon observing this, decided to give it a bash. So off he runs in the same direction, gently plucks a flower, returns to me, crushes the delicate bloom in his fist, terminator style, and then hands it to me.
I had to laugh...
No prizes for guessing who is holding the relevant bloom.
now.....that's balance!
Imagine having TWO Terminators????
xx
Oh gawd! 2 terminators!!!
Ok, you hit the spot .....I am grateful....I am grateful ....I am grateful....I am grateful!!
With my official "Out of Office" ending this week, and school starting on Wednesday, it feels as though someone has whacked me on the back and screamed: "Move it already, 2009 is here, no time to ease into the year slowly.....Come on now - move it, move it, move it!!!"
So, this week has been one of admin, going through my inbox, which, in turn, has added to a never-ending "to do" list and I feel like I have gone from 0-200 in 3 seconds.
Sooooo, looking forward to ending this week with my sundowner-chardonnay and my weekend "smelling the roses."
