About Me

I am a mother of three boys (three boys, being punished for my sins!) and have been a fan of photography for years. I started shooting weddings seriously about five years ago. With the arrival of my twins, I decided to reduce my working hours in order to spend more time at home with my boys. Using photography to make up for the loss of income was a natural progression.

This is where you will be able to catch regular excerpts of what I am up to...

This week, brooms became horses, sticks became swords and this is what became of the box my veggies came in...

They sure did, and I was the sucker that had to pull them down the slope “one last time”
. . . they came, they demolished, they left!!

Hi Andrea,
I am a young ex Zimbabwean girl and have been living in Australia for the last 7 years. I really admire your style, and the way you are able to capture little moments so articulately. As an aspiring photographer I wanted to ask which lens ranges you find yourself using the most... any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Cristina, lenses nothing fancy, I usually have two camera's, one with a 28-135m and my 50m 1.8 Prime lens. I have found that if I get obsessed with changing lenses I loose the moments so do no really fret over lenses...I actually had to go and check what my one lens was to get back to you. Advise take your camera everywhere and just PLAY!

I was reading Cinderella to Oliver and the boys early this morning and got to the part where she enters the ballroom and is the most beautiful woman at the ball. Oliver pipes up: "She's not the most beautiful lady, you are Mama"... morning hair, tracksuit stained with 'toddler mess' and tired eyes, but more beautiful than Cinderella - that's my boy!!!

Bring on the ice lollies, sprinkler, chardonnay sundowners in the garden and all things summer! Our first visit to the pool, the water was still a little too cold for a full plunge!

Oliver and Jake on the kitchen steps, just before we left for Uncle's house on Sunday.   Jakes killer pose, as Oliver wipes away any traces of a kiss! I am using these photo's to "buy" a couple more days, Nicki and Dave later this week!

When I was a teenager, I thought that when I had reached my mid - OK, so officially just past the 'mid', now I'm in my 'later' 30s - I would be all grown up, act responsibly and be as serious about life as all "adults" do. Why is it, then, that my mind still feels like I am in my early twenties? Picture courtesy of Sam....who else?
