I just wanted to wish you all a very happy new year filled with happiness and health, and to thank you all for stopping by in 2010.
Looking forward to 2011, hopefully it will pass a little slower.
So here you are, finally, one of two posts that has been way overdue: This being my third wedding at Greenleaves, but, it seems totally different from each of my prior assignments. It's funny how, despite how many times I have been to any given venue, that every ceremony is always completely poles apart; each having its own special atmosphere.
I think that's what makes photographing weddings so fulfilling - it's the people who make the celebration and their vast assortment of friends & family that also add to the uniqueness of every occasion.
If there is one experience I would take away from this particular wedding, to treasure forever, it would then have to be the beautiful and personalised service that the pastor delivered. It had both parents in tears and reminded each and every one of us just how fast time flies. A baby girl born; a boy on his blue BMX and, in a flash, here they are, twenty-odd years later - Susanna and Rousseau in front of both families, getting married to start their lives as one.
Thank you so much for allowing us to share your marriage ceremony with you. It was so full of love and laughter and I wish that you'll have plenty more to come in your future together!
How gorgeous is the something old (granny's brooch) something blue.

Thank you for your kind words, it is always nice putting faces to the "stats" of the blog.
I know your beautiful side of the world my husband has family in Grenada - so I have been fortunate enough to see your corner of the globe!
Today is a public holiday and we have decided to make it a long weekend away. Back in the office on Monday.
I thought I had better do an itty bitty post this morning as it's been a bit sparse on the wedding side. A sneak peak of what is yet to be posted.

You were wonderful to have in the room with us - such a lovely lot of people!
Thank you for making the day so special - I cannot wait for the photo's to be seen.
Love -bride's mom - LEENTHA
I know first hand, as a photographer, that there are thousands of images of those people around us captured by the flicker of the lens, but none, or very, very few, actually includes us within the frame.
This year, I received an amazing gift (twice), which was, incredibly, a shoot with my children and I.
When Joretha (a wedding photographer herself) contacted me earlier this year, to photograph her family, I knew it was due time to pay this gift forward.
Here you are, Joretha, a few of my favourites:
