Introducing the wedding of Sarah and Martin . . .
Sarah's mum, Suzi, booked me and mentioned Sarah's wedding would be a fuss-free and relaxed affair - and that it was.
Martin and Sarah, who both reside in the UK, found a true undiscovered little gem when they selected Thandeka Lodge as their venue. Just the perfect bush setting for their beautiful ceremony.
There were so many little moments that made me smile and people who made me laugh, but, to mention each individual one would require a story of its own, rendering this post as long as a novel.
So let's just leave it as an awesome wedding with oodles of character.
There are a few more images than usual, but, I realise I am dealing with some seriously deprived readers, who have been tormented by the Carlyles' holiday pics and haven
't seen a wedding post in a little over two weeks...

Sarah and Martin were married in the middle of the bushveld and the venue staff had literally mowed a pathway through the grassland to create the aisle and a patch where the vows were to be exchanged.
The "church" was surrounded by savannah and the guests were seated on hay bales.

Sarah being walked down the "aisle" by her dad

Another obsession of mine is flare, and a little OTT on the flare side, but, I love this pic.
To me, it really does "tell the story...as it was".
Eccentric priest, scorcher of a day and exchanging vows in the middle of the African Bush.

Thank you Sarah & Martin for being so understanding, and thank you Belinda and Jonathan for helping out.

We are off to the coast for a long overdue family holiday. I will, for once, take a proper break and will refrain from answering emails or taking calls. (DH is smirking.....I have a habit of making these statements and then, just scanning emails to see if there is anything important, followed by, I am just going to respomd to this one, and this one, and this one.
So I am going to make a concerted effort to focus on the short people, chardonnay and beach!
If you send an email to prices@andreacarlylephotography.co.za you will receive an automated response with my packages within 24 hours.
Back on the 2nd March 2009.
I will not leave this post pictureless, so here you are a few more from Brenda and Joe, I believe a few loyal stalkers "wanted more". It seems like they also loved the vintage treatment so I played with it on these.

Loving the vintage look, beauts! Have an awesome holiday and really REALLY don't check the email.
(02.16.09 @ 09:28 AM)There were no requests for The Cradle "dramatic sky" backdrop and, in fact, the one lone request was that there be NO cheese (as in cheesy wedding photography).
So, no Gorgonzola, Stilton or Camembert - once again just as-it-happens moments.
The ceremony was one of the most relaxed affairs, where for me Suzie's youngest son just stole the limelight.
I could have seriously taken him home, not the missing pink midget that's needed in our house, but what a gorgeous little character.
I was assisting Dror on this one, and concede I'm a little late with this post, but, if you would like to see more of the wedding, then please click here

On another note, there seems to be a problem with my automated response to pricing requests. If you do not receive a pricelist within 24 hours please let me know. Price requests are to be directed to prices@andreacarlylephotography.co.za.
OMG!!! How on earth did you get to shoot with an olde plane??? These are spectacular! And you know how much I love classic, olde "vintage" engagement shoots. :-)
